Brianna Smith | How to Decide What To Outsource

Archaius Creative

Brianna Smith is back for her second The POSH Retreat. She will be walking our attendees through “How to Decide What to Outsource”. Outsourcing your editing can benefit your company, especially if you are struggling to keep up with your editing and are falling behind on delivery times. This is a topic that arises in our Facebook group often.

Brianna is the Wedding Department Lead at Archaius Creative, a post-house specializing in wedding and corporate films. She’s a So Cal native where she lives with her fiancé and two obnoxious dachshunds. Brianna joined the wedding world in 2012, as an in-house editor for a local wedding photographer. After her contract ended, she ventured into the freelance game before being introduced to Archaius Creative’s owner, Dave Aguilar. Three years and hundreds of edits later, she is now a Lead Editor managing six full time editors and fifty-five clients. Brianna believes the first thing filmmakers should do, is hire a good editor. With her base of knowledge, from her different roles in the post-production world, she’s hoping to provide information on how to find an ideal editing solution.

We want to give a HUGE thank you to Archaius Creative for sending Brianna to POSH!

Leslee Layton | Diversifying: Having Multiple Streams of Income

Do you have multiple streams of income in your video or photography business? Do you struggle with what to do when there are years your number of weddings or corporate work are down? We are so excited to have Leslee Layton lead us through a discussion at The POSH Retreat in Key Largo on how to diversify your business so you have multiple streams of income.

Leslee is the owner of the Oklahoma-based videography company, Leslee Layton Films.  Leslee taught elementary school for ten years and started shooting weddings as a hobby.   She left education in 2013 with a full calendar of bookings.  Since then she has learned just enough techy stuff about cameras to keep doing the part she loves the most – editing compelling stories for the best clients on the planet.  Leslee recently married her awesome hubby, Chasen, and together they have four children.  Living in two different homes in cities nearly two hours apart, and both being solo entrepreneurs, Leslee and Chasen have learned a lot about diversifying their work to make a good living and a lifestyle they love.  Leslee is excited to be a discussion leader at her second Posh Retreat.
